Just got htis yesterday :) Should be interesting to play - only had 10 minutes to try last night.
One thing that bothers me is that this game is rated for age as 3+ and one of the mentors is described as "Smart and Sexy" Am I being a bit too much of a prude here? I dunno.

I was actually thinking of waiting until I could get 8GB and SandyBridge (iX) processors. ;) But the fact they'll have to be ULV will still make their performance lower than the MBPs.

Is it true the Thunderbolt ports taking the place of the HDMI ports in the 2010 model that you no longer can view the computer screen contents such as photos etc. on a TV like we can with the iPad2?

For my programming books I use ebooks for being able to search, and access them from my various machines. Its also easier to have them on my screen beside where I am coding.

Hello. I just got an iBook G3 Clamshell from my Sister-In-Law, and I LOVE It. It is running OS 9.2 and I am curious to see the specs on this computer. I don't have much experience on OS 9. Lol. When I go to "about this computer" it says I have 96 mb. of built in memory. How much ram could I add to it, and what is the best OS on it? Could I dual boot it to run say OS 9.2.2(Current OS) and say OS 10.0. I think I can go up to 10.4.11 but I imagine that would be a painful experience. Basically if I can get some version of 10.xx I'd be a happy camper. Thanks guys!

no it works you won't damage your machine. I have a 2009 2.66 mini with 8gb ram it works fine for more then 16 months. your chance of machine damage is nil because it is 8gb ram.

Download Dropbox... done.
Keep it simple to set up, it's free and works perfectly. I use it to work on docs from home, work, my laptop and my iPad.
Pay a little and get a lot more server space.

folder enhancer is pretty nice
Which one is the best? There are three that I can see. Free, 99, & $1.49.
My favorite is NoLock. I do not have to swipe to turn my ipad or iphone on. VERY cool. To me, this one app is the single main reason to JB. Apple should give us the option to swipe or not...it's a fundamental flaw IMHO.
Sbsettings, as others have mention, is indispensable, if only for the quick access to brightness. Also, to 2x tap the status bar to switch programs is critical to avoid using the annoying home button popper.
Infinidock is awesome.
MyWi - pretty obvious how important it is to share my signal with my other devices.

Yes but i want it to work so bad  There has to be someway to make it work and my digital camera has an mpeg record function.
Help i paid $300 bucks for this camrea i doont want to have to spend on isight
You might also try the free osx usb webcam driver. There is a list of supported cams hereclick here (http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/)
Hope this helps. Worse comes to worse, you can probably get into a cheap usb cam for about 20-30 $$.

I know Quark 6 is a horrible clunky nightmare but this is weird.
There's not the slightest chance you've been working on a different document? I've occasionally done it before...
What back-up software are you using? Most programs will alert you if a file of the same name has an earlier modification date...
What file info did you 'play around with'?

Can we some pics of white iPhones with cases on? I feel like most case colors would clash too much with the white color of the phone. Can people post pics of their new white phones with cases on?
off hand i'm going to say, what's the point of getting a white iphone if you're going to put a case on it?
all though, a black bumper on a white phone looks pretty cool.

I had trouble upgrading the RAM on my iBook the first time I tried too. Those screws are REALLY sensitive to the size of the screwdriver you're using. It HAS to be a #0 Phillips-type screwdriver, or it just plain won't work.

Seagate Barracuda 1TB in our 2.7GHz 27" i5.
Anyone successfully swapped out their stock hard drive for an upgraded size, or does anyone have info on the 2TB sized models?
Also can people post the firmware version if possible. Thanks!

From the Apple.com Forums:
"OS X 10.3.6 says the following as one of it's improvements:
Improves ColorSync calibrating for Apple Cinema HD Display (23-inch DVI) displays."
A few reports in those forums say that indeed 10.3.6 did fix the pink tint problem for them.

Dynamic Range was one thing I was about to mention. I don't know a lot about 35MM only scanners, but I know that when I'm looking for a flatbed scanner, I won't buy anything with a DMax under 3.4. Even 3.4 is pushing it IMHO, and really 3.8 is where it's at.
That is an often overlooked specification. It basically tells you how wide of a range of contrast it can scan. The higher the better.

Are you sure the 2008 model has DDR3? If so, then it means the 2008 model is compatible with DDR3 so there should be no issues, it'll just downclock to 1067mhz.

I buy sports games for both multi and single
Everything else pretty much is for multi. You actually get a challenge when you play multiplayer.
Gears of War is actually of the first games I actually enjoy playing single player.

Well SafariSpeed works great, but PithHelmet crashed Safari when I went to CNN.com. I noticed PithHelmet hasn't been updated since 10.3.8 came out, so maybe that's the problem. Thanks for the tips!
Use PithHelmet version 0.7.3. The latest versions don't work well. Always crashing, slowing down safari... ugh.
